9. Donate hair to cancer patient

Number 9 has been a long time coming. I first decided that I wanted to do this before I went on my mission. When I left for California my hair was just below my shoulders and I figured 18 months on a mission would be a good time to grow it out through the awkward stages, and it was. I came home with hair past my waist! What inspired me to actually chop it off and donate it was my sister Emily. She is a pediatric oncology nurse at Primary Children's Medical Center. All of her adorable little patients are as bald as can be. She always talks about her work and the precious children she helps and serves. I wanted some way to be able to cheer them up and help too. So what did I have that they didn't? Long beautiful hair. I wish somehow I could make and deliver the wig myself, but since I don't have the capabilities I figured the next best thing would be to go through Locks of Love. They are an amazing organization. So, here are some before and after pictures of the big event. I hope someone somewhere is as happy with my hair as I was.

Before...

and during...15 1/2 inches gone just like that!

Finally after...

p.s. I think I will make this one a tradition.

I still love your idea of the life goals. I actually did this one in High School, and can you believe that the next day some people didnt even notice. It was at least 12 in! well thats my story and i really admire you for being selfless enough to think of other's needs.

I'm going to do that same and Dave wants my hair to look like yours. I'm not sure if it is possible, but I will try.
